RTI activist writes to CM, seeks action against ‘corrupt’ officials
Right to Information (RTI) activist Anil Mhaske has wrote a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis regarding the corrupt practices by the G/ south ward officials and their alleged involvement in the Kamala mills fire.
In the letter, Mhaske has demanded an inquiry by the Anti-Corruption Bureau or the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai police.
The letter, which has been submitted on Saturday, alleges that Ramesh Gowani, the owner of Kamala mills was having a nexus with Madhukar Shelar and Dharmaraj Shinde, designated officer of ‘G/South’ ward.
Sudhir Naik, presently working as a Deputy Municipal Commissioner (General Administration), has worked as the Assistant Commissioner ‘G/South’ Ward, and therefore, was in constant touch with ‘G/South’ ward Building Department. An agent Bala has been managing all illegal activities like helping gala owners for unauthorised encroachments,
The letter alleges that Ramesh Gowani was having a nexus with 2 BMC officers of the ward
renting of the premises, obtaining various licenses, NOCs from all the department required to carry and run business in this premises. Naik has a link with Bala and Gowani. Waghralkar had joined the corporation as Ward Officer (now the post is named as Assistant Commissioner).
Waghralkar has helped Dharmaraj Shinde in cancelling his transfer order. Waghralkar, Shelar and Shinde have minted crores of rupees with the help of local agent Bala. Shelar has been temporarily suspended.
Shinde presently working as a junior engineer at building department of “D” Ward (presently suspended).
