It is a farmer’s budget: CM Das

In order to ensure that the farmers get the right message, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the budget of the state and the budget of the country are dedicated to the farmers.

He further added that the priority is to develop the society. This year under the Prime Minister's Irrigation Scheme, Jharkhand will get Rs 600 crore from the central government. Breaking it down further, Das said nearly Rs 30 crore for every district will be available for irrigation.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari. He said this while addressing the farmers, agricultur­al scientists and students on the occasion of the concluding function of the Agro Tech 2018 Kisan Mela in Birsa Agricultur­al University.

Das said that this year World Agricultur­al Conference will be organised in Jharkhand. He also assured that the income of farmers will be doubled by 2022, by connecting each farmer with agricultur­e, animal husbandry and horticultu­re. He said that work force increases through public interest.

He told the scientists of Birsa Agricultur­al University that they should keep constant contact with the farmers and work together in coordinati­on with each other so that agricultur­al yield increase in Jharkhand.
