‘Bure Din’ ahead for BJP in Marathwada, says NCP Says forthcomin­g assembly polls will spell disaster for the saffron party

Nationalis­t Congress Party assessed the outcome of the Halla Bol morcha recently held in Marathwada region and came to conclusion that the impact of the morcha will wipe out Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the backward region in 2019 state assembly election. The recent morcha covered 26 assembly constituen­cies in which 14 represents by ruling BJPShiv Sena legislator­s.

Before planning the next morcha in North Maharashtr­a scheduled between February 16 and 21, the party leaders assessed the outcome from the Marathwada region. “The response to the morcha was enormous in this region. People are fed up with this government and they come to conclusion that BJP is the government of liar,” said Dhanajay Munde, leader of opposition in legislativ­e council.

Munde take on chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and claimed he is fooling the people. “I repeatedly told Fadnavis do not stress on online system to implement the loan waiver, but he ignored it and the scheme proved the big blunder,” Munde said.

Eknath Khadse, former minister said, “The loan waiver is the historic decision and till today, the government has disbursed more than Rs. 22,000 crore in the account farmers.”

Munde rubbish Khadse’s claim and said, “Only Rs. 12,000 crore has been transferre­d in account of farmers till date.” He added, Fadnavis is fooling people and also to himself.

In Marathwada, NCP focused on constituen­cies where the party is strong as well on those where BJP and Shiv Sena may lose in next poll. The party is expecting exchange of few assembly constituen­cies with Congress. At the same time, assessing young leadership in BJP-Sena ruled constituen­cies to gram from them.

“We have good ground network in Marathwada and we are confident, people will vote in favour of us. The talk of alliance with Congress will be finalised between party chief Sharad Pawar and Congress president Rahul Gandhi. We have pressure from ground level party workers for the alliance to dethrone BJP-Sena,” said Munde. He revealed, “The recent survey shows BJP will gain 24 percent of share vote and will remain on number one position but could not form the government. For BJP, there will ‘bure din’ and not ‘achche din’, he added.

According to LoP, Coming to number two position, Congress which will gain 22 percent vote share. NCP will be on number three position and will gain 22.5 percent of vote share, whereas Shiv Sena will be thrown at the fourth position.

The party is expecting exchange of few assembly constituen­cies with Congress. At the same time, it is assessing young leadership in BJP-Sena ruled constituen­cies to grab from them
