Two persons were arrested by the Khadakpada police for murdering a watchman in Kalyan

MUMBAI: The Khadakpada police have arrested two persons for the murder of a man at Kalyan. Motiram Ramchandra Kot and Nikhil Balu Jadhav alias Padgha has been arrested by the police.They have been held under (Section 302) and common intention (Section 34) of the IPC for murder. A FIR was registered on Feb 16 after Gyaneshwar Kot went missing. We had received a tip-off that Gyaneshwar was last seen along with his cousin Motiram and his friend Nikhil on February 13. According to Balasaheb Kadam, SPI, “Motiram and Nikhil had called Gyaneshwar over a few drinks. When Gyaneshwar was in an inebriated state, they assaulted him on his head with iron rod. After the crime, the accused had destroyed the murder weapon and had discarded the blood stained clothes, in order to avoid being arrested.” Gyaneshwar was working as a watchman in Kalyan.
