Brave landing

-

The crash landing of the Indian Coast Guard (ICGs) at Murud is one more case of helicopter accident. The helicopter on a routine surveillance sortie fell near Alibaugh Beach and causing concern. Even though crash landing is different from crashing or emergency landing the helicopter had some technical snag resulting in the emergency measure. It is done when the pilot loses partial control and the helicopter cannot go back to base. The effort taken by the pilot was due to compulsion and he not only managed to land the helicopter safely from total damage but also avoided landing at a crowded place and the sea and assuring the safety of the whole crew. The pilot was injured in the crash and made an all out attempt to save any loss in the accident. The efforts made by the pilot is appreciable and we need such lionhearted effort to save the helicopter from total damage. — Nikhil CKS Maniam
