Arvind Subramanian leads race for World Bank top economist
NEW DELHI: Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian is leading the race for the post of World Bank's next chief economist, and may be named as Paul Romer's successor as early as next month, a source aware of the developments said. “The World Bank may make an announcement after meeting Subramanian at the annual spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank," the source said.
