Franco Sports down ICL 1-0

MUMBAI: Franco Sports Club put up a spirited display and managed to snatch a close 1-0 win against Indian Cultural League in a First Division match of the MDFA Leagues 2017-18 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Striker Swapnil Koppikar struck the crucial winning goal in the 70th minute to secure Fanco’s victory and to collect all the three points. Earlier in a Second Division match, a dominant Naval Dockyard blanked Freunds SA 5-0. Dhiraj Jagitiala, Ganesh Vyadande, Ramesh Krishnamoorthy, Tirlochan Nayak and James Kujur, all chipped in by scoring a goal each to complete Naval Dockyard’s win.Results (Div-I): Franco SC 1 (Swapnil Koppikar) beat Indian Cultural League 0.
