AKSHAY KUMAR says not people should bring religion into politics

Akshay Kumar today said politician­s should stop bringing religion into politics. The Pad Man actor was speaking at trailer launch of Nanak Shah Fakir. When asked if he thinks the teachings of Guru Nanak should be adopted by all politician­s who try to use religion to create vote bank politics, he said, “I believe in it thoroughly. There is only one God and that God is yours. To bring religion into everything...it is not done. I hope everyone follows that.”

A secular industry

On whether he thinks that Bollywood was the most secular industry, Akshay said, “Yes.” The National Award-winning been actor said he had associated with “Nanak since over Shah Fakir” a year as he believed message of in the the film that there
