The two had tided over the Aubrey O’Day fiasco beautifully and remained committed to their vows, despite Jr’s philandering, but in retrospect, it does seem like they were brushing things under the carpet. Marriages, as fairy tales suggest, are made in heaven. But we all know fairy tales are as deceptive as the appearances our celebrities keep. When smiles are fake, images are sculpted, what does one believe? And yet, amidst sex and dhoka, sometimes love manages to win. The fact remains that Vanessa did take Jr back home and they lived together for good six years.
Ironically, Trump Sr was advising Robert Pattinson to not take Kristen Stewart back after her affair with director Rupert Sanders became public, around the same time, that his much-married son was having an affair with Aubrey O’Day. Hilariously so, neither Robert nor Vanessa took Donald Trump’s 2012 advice to heart. Both continued in their respective relationships. It was only, Rupert’s wife – Liberty Ross, who filed for divorce. While they have decided to spilt, here are some couples who have accepted the infidelity and stayed together.
Jay-Z Beyonce
Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s high-profile link up began in 2002, they married in 2008 and have stuck. But it has been repeatedly reported that Jay-z has issues with remaining faithful. None of his extramarital activities were ever confirmed, however, until his wife basically outed him as a serial cheater last year when her critically acclaimed Lemonade album dropped. The release featured multiple tracks that chronicled Jay’s history of deception and straying from their marriage.
The singer even infamously referenced Jay-Z’s side chick as “Becky with the good hair.” Despite the rapper’s inability to remain faithful to his lady, Beyoncé clearly forgave him. The couple has three children: Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir. What’s even more interesting is that Jay recently released his latest studio album, titled 4:44, where he owns up to his womanising ways and apologises to Beyoncé for his bad behaviour over the years. But the couple have stuck together through the bad-days, walking right into the sun.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake
Theirs was a beautiful romance to begin with, started with courting over the phone, professing love long distance, missing each other and loving each other. “I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end, she agreed,” stated, Timberlake.
Yet, in 2011, the couple called it splits. Apparently Mr Tenacious was tenaciously also pursuing Olivia Munn while in a relationship with Biel. But Jessica took him back a few months after they split. They got engaged shortly after and got married in Italy in 2012. It has been six years of happily-everafter. With their son, Silas Randall, it sure seems like this one will stick. After all, it was Timberlake himself who admitted: “Every once in a while, I can catch a glimpse of her when she doesn’t see me looking. I have this moment where I’m like, ‘If you never make a good decision — if you only make bad decisions – for the rest of your life, you made one really good decision.”
Kobe Bryant and Vanessa
Ever heard of too good to be true? Well, that stands true for basketball player Kobe Bryant. He had had an awesome 2003, great career, beautiful wife and a new born baby. But he still managed to find a 19yr old hotel staffer too tempting to resist. Initially, Kobe denied the charges, but he eventually confessed to authorities that he did in fact have a mutually consensual affair with the woman, telling detectives, “If it becomes public, I'll lose my wife ... and all my endorsements.”
The very serious charges were eventually dropped, but the damage was already done, and he was publicly revealed as a cheater. Yet, the vows stuck! The ball player held a press conference alongside his wife and admitted the errors of his ways. Many wondered whether Vanessa would leave Kobe after the massive media circus surrounding the cheating scandal, but Kobe gave her an eight-carat purple diamond ring worth over $4 million and she stood by her man.
Josh Duhamel and Fergie
NBC’s Las Vegas actor Josh Duhamel met his future bride-to-be in 2004 when Fergie and her band, The Black Eyed Peas, made a guest appearance on the show. By 2009, the couple had gotten married and they were set to live happily ever after… until an exotic dancer came out with claims that she and Josh had an affair that same year. While Duhamel publicly denied cheating on his wife, the woman spoke to several media outlets to. t was a classic case of he-said, she-said and nobody really knew which side was telling the truth. Of course, Fergie chose to either believe her husband was innocent or forgive him because the couple was very much together till 2017. Currently, Duhamel is dating Eiza Gonzalez and co-parenting, son Axl with Fergie! definitely because of anything difficult that’s happened with us. We deal with it, we communicate; communicating's the most important thing.”
David and Victoria Beckham
They are the perfect couple. Everyone looks up to them for inspiration when it comes to getting ideas about happy-everafter… at least until Rebecca Loos came into the picture. She was working as Beckham’s personal assistant at the time. The twosome was photographed together at a night club and although Rebecca initially denied the ‘rumours’, she still was fired from her job due to all of the attention the snapshots were receiving. The dismissal worked adversely making David a labelled a cheater. Loos tried to milk newfound fame by signing up for multiple reality shows and even posing for the cover of Playboy magazine. But David maintained that the claims were “Ludicrous” and insisted that he was a very happily married man. The pressure of a super public affair would be enough to make most marriages crumble, but Victoria chose to believe that her husband was telling the truth.
