India signs agreement with World Bank for Meghalaya Community

A loan agreement for IBRD loan of USD 48 million for the ‘Meghalaya Community - Led Landscapes Management Project (MCLLMP)’ was signed with the World Bank. the loan agreement was signed by Sameer Kumar Khare, Joint Secretary (MI), Department of Economic Affairs on behalf of the Government of India and Hisham A Abdo Kahin, Acting Country Director, World Bank (India) on behalf of the World Bank. A project agreement was also signed by P Sampath Kumar, Commission­er and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and CEO, Meghalaya Basin Developmen­t Authority (MBDA) and Hisham A Abdo Kahin, Acting Country Director, World Bank (India). The objective of the project is to strengthen community-led landscapes management in selected landscapes in Meghalaya. The closing date of the project is June 30, 2023.

BOI offers 10% discount on its RuPay Card only on Big Bazaar purchase

Bank of India (BOI) is offering a 10 per cent discount on the bank’s RuPay Card for purchase articles at Big Bazaar up to April 30, 2018 and appealed to its card holders to avail the benefits on single minimum purchases of Rs 1,500. This offers maximum discount of Rs 250 per transactio­n and is valid on transactio­ns done and active RuPay Debit, Credit and Pre-paid Cards only. In order to avail the discount, the total payment for the purchase needs to be made using a RuPay Debit/Credit/Pre paid card and the offer discount will be processed by Big Bazaar at the billing counter at the time of purchase and will reflect on the bill.
