Indore shocker: 2 men tried to pull my skirt, asked what's underneath, says Model

Four days after a five-monthold girl was raped and murdered in the city, tweets of a model sent the police and district administra­tion on toes as the woman alleged that two bikers pulled her skirt and passed lewd comments near Mangal City Mall on Sunday evening.

In the series of tweets, the model shared her ordeal. She said she was driving her scooter while the two unidentifi­ed bikers came close to her vehicle, tried to pull her skirt and asked, “Iske neeche kya hai?” (What is underneath?).

The victim lost her balance while trying to save herself from the accused and fell on the ground leaving her injured. The accused fled from the scene. She was returning from a bloggers' meet held at Love Sugar Dough cafe.

Victim also questioned the attitude of people through her Instagram video, which went viral after an hour of the incident in which she alleged that no one tried to stop the accused. She said elderly people raised questions over her dress, that is, wearing a skirt.

After the revelation by the victim, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took cognisance of the matter terming it shameful and directed director general of police RK Shukla and collector Nishant Warwade to take immediate action in the case.

Senior police officials said team has been constitute­d to nab the accused.

On the question of being reported late, The DIG said that the case was reported late and search is on to get clues of the accused.

Later in the evening, the girl tweeted to thank chief minister, DGP and local police for their cooperatio­n.
