50 advocates seek action against critics of CJI Misra
They have sought action against all the politicians, legal professionals who have launched scathing attack and criticised CJI Dipak Misra over alleged mysterious death of special Judge BH Loya’s judgment
Fifty advocates practising in various courts across Maharashtra on Tuesday wrote a letter to Acting Chief Justice Vijaya Tahilramani of the Bombay High Court seeking action against the lawyers, political parties and others involved in ‘scandalising and maligning’ the office of Chief Justice of India.
These 50 advocates have sought action against all the politicians, legal professionals and also the petitioners who have launched a scathing attack and criticised CJI Dipak Misra over his judgement dismissing the petitions seeking independent probe in the alleged mysterious death of special Judge BH Loya.
In their nine-page letter, the advocates have claimed that the petitioners in the Loya petition and also the political parties supporting them are ‘hands-in-glove’ with ‘anti-India forces.’
“Anti-national forces and enemy countries who under their ill design are engaged in threatening and sabotaging the security and integrity of our country through their aides and pawns (like the petitioners and their counsels and political parties supporting them) so as to not only subvert judicial system but also to overawe the government established under law by inciting hatred and anarchy,” the letter states.
The advocates have sought legal action against prominent advocates like Prashant Bhushan, Indira Jaising and several others including some politicians, who have been vocal against CJI.
