Differently-abled kids to be treated on par
In order to bring all the children's suffering from some health issue under one roof and helping them in improving their educational and development skills, the citybased paediatrician started a dedicated centre “New Horizon Child Development Centre’ at the Hinduja Healthcare Surgical, Khar. The Hinduja Healthcare Surgical has taken a visionary step in holistic child care by inaugurating New Horizons Child Development Centre in the Out Patient Department building of the hospital. Dr Samir Dalwai, developmental paediatrician and founder of NHCDC said they aim to integrate the child socially and will help them in developing their educational skills.
“The children will be under the care and direct observation of a developmental paediatrician. We will also take a proper care and will give them training which will help these children to grow and achieve a level of competitiveness and face the world,” added Dr Dalwai.
He further added the children's will be intervened by the experts from various health fraternity like occupational therapy, clinical and counselling psychologists, special educators, speech, language and communication therapists and audiologists and others.
“The developmental concerns like autism, learning disability, ADHD, cerebral palsy, down syndrome as well as emotional and behavioural issues which include those associated with adolescence achieve their full potential, through scientific and holistic methods,” said Dr Dalwai.
