In March Last month, a three month long practical research program was conducted and completed at Sheth NKTT Degree College of Commerce, Thane, Maharastra. 162 college students participated and experienced the benefits of practicing Sahaja Yoga Meditation. The effect of meditation on these practicing students was regularly monitored scientifically. The Students were learning and doing meditation at the college and also at their homes. Concerned with welfare of students, the Principal and Vice Principal of the college appreciated the development of students through ‘Future India’ program of Sahaja Yoga. The result, according to the College lecturers, who also attended, found remarkable changes in the behaviour and transformation in those students. The College authorities are happy and have permitted Sahaja Yoga meditation to continue for students during 2018-19.
The Sahaja School of Meditation, Silvassa, with permission of Heads of Schools, arrange to bring standard IX to XII students by bus from Government Schools to its own premises and after training the teachers and students drop back at the School. The training of teachers helps them to organise this unique and effortless meditation for 5 to 10 minutes daily at their schools. This School has come up three years ago and operational with the initiative and funding of a wellknown doctor from Mumbai who is a Sahaja yoga meditation practitioner.
Now according to New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Education Department, circular, the competent authority has allowed to organise Sahaja Yoga workshops at all NDMC and Navyug schools for Moral Development of Children Through inner Transformation. These workshops are to be organised in 42 NDMC and Navyug Schools, with mutual coordination with Heads of schools as convenient to both during April/May. Of the 9 Sahaja Yoga workshop sessions of 35-40 minutes each planned during zero/yoga period, six sessions are for students and three sessions are for teachers.
