All In The Mind

- -T.G.L. Iyer

Scarcity and abundance are creations of our mind. If our mind believes in scarcity, then we can expect only little, limited offerings in life. If we believe in abundance, then there will be always an overflow and flood of prosperity in our lives. Our thoughts about what we deserve is very vital. Slowly and gradually, we will discover that whatever we want is already available. Our belief will cause it to manifest. We expand what we focus upon.

Walt Whitman said, “The whole theory of the universe is directed unerringly to one single individual. You are simultaneously all the humanity and at the same time an individual human too.” If you feel that you deserve little, you will get what you desire. If it is abundance and prosperity that flood your thoughts then there will be no end to what you go on getting in life.

Boundaries and limitations are created by ourselves. The universe simply flows nonstop. Air and water have no boundaries. They co-exist and are in perfect harmony. Space has no limit unless we fence it with walls or wires. So, freedom is what abundance is about. For example, a bird builds its nest wherever there is harmony and safety. Whales in the sea swim whenever their hearts and instincts take them. When you don’t clutter your mind there is an eternal flow which you need not stop or stem from entering.

Joseph Murphy said, “We go where our vision is.”

If you ask yourself a question, “How is it that I am able to negotiable through thick traffic without hitting the pedestrian?” You will get the answer from inside, “I look where I want to go; I look at the space between objects; I concentrate my mind on safety and not accident.”

Orison Swett Marden wrote, ‘All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal, which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible’.

The secret is that if you think your beliefs are wrong, change them instead of evaluating, judging and getting upset by it. By changing behaviour, you can change attitudes. So abandon selfdefeating rigidity in life. Victims give in to emotional paralysis. Heroes advance moving their frontiers. Some stand still and the same place expect a miracle to happen. With ordinary talent and extraordinary perseverance all things are attainable.
