Reminiscence
WHAT: An exhibition of paintings, ‘Reminiscence’, by Santanu Sarkar. Speaking about his work, Santanu says, “I too am a silent and mum audience like everyone else. Since last 40 years, I have been observing the changes in the society and the civilization. I do not understand the rights and the wrongs that well, but some obscure and sad incidents pain my mind. I am at peace only when I portray my afflictions on my canvas. In the backdrop of work and social responsibilities, I draw the stairs…the stairs of achievement. I keep climbing these stairs... I don’t know where I am going. Maybe, I am looking for the dear destinations I had travelled once, but now lost. On this path of life and light, I try to find familiar faces and happy memories.
