Samruddhi project: 13 companies win tenders
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s pet project, ‘Samruddhi Mahamarg’, connecting Nagpur and Mumbai, will be a 701km-long twolane highway passing through 13 regions, for which 13 companies have been shortlisted to submit tenders.
Officials of Maharashtra State Roads Development Corporation (MSRDC) said the completion of the process for financial bids marks the completion of one more phase successfully in this project.
The agencies have acquired 81 per cent of the land along this corridor for this mega project. The Samruddhi corridor will cost the state Rs 46,000 crore and pass through 10 districts, 26 talukas and 392 villages. It has been referred to by CM Fadnavis as the ‘mega connectivity’ project.
The shortlisted companies had placed minimum bids for the construction contract. The following companies have been awarded the contract for various regions:
