Rahul puts onus on Modi for Delhi chaos; Cong surprised

-

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making people of Delhi suffer from chaos and disorder in the dharna drama being played out by Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“Delhi CM, sitting in dharna at LG office. BJP sitting in dharna at CM residence. Delhi bureaucrats addressing press conference," Rahul tweeted wondering what all this means.

“PM turns a blind eye to the anarchy; rather nudges chaos & disorder. People of Delhi are the victims, as this drama plays out," he added in a tweet.

His tweet comes as a big surprise as all Congress leaders are criticising Kejriwal for the farce of the drama while his remark may be seen as an indirect endorsement of Kejriwal’s charge that the Delhi government’s bureaucrats are on undeclared ‘strike’ at the instance of the Prime Minister in not attending meetings called by him and other ministers.

Rahul’s stand is obviously to stand with the four opposition chief ministers on Sunday asking the Prime Minister to resolve the dispute between Kejriwal and Delhi Lt. Governor to make it clear that Modi is responsible for the chaos in Delhi from the governance coming to a standstill since last one week.

The Four chief ministers – Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal), N Chandrababu Naidu (Andhra Pradesh), HD Kumaraswamy (Karnataka) and Pinarai Vijayan (Kerala) – meeting the PM separately to urge him to end the deadlock in Delhi administration.

Meanwhile, senior BJP MP Subramanian Swamy once again called for immediate imposition of the President’s rule in Delhi for a year in view of the Kejriwal government not functioning.
