Amit Shah to meet Nitish over dinner during a day’s visit

-

BJP President Amit Shah has lined up a score of meetings with own party workers during a day’s visit to Patna that he will wind up with a dinner with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Their meeting is crucial as Nitish Kumar wants the coalition partners to contest the Lok Sabha elections on his terms and not on the BJP’s or Modi’s agenda while his Janata Dal(U) is insisting on contesting majority of 40 seats or let the coalition partners contest separately on their own.

There is already speculation that the opposition parties are trying to draw back Nitish Kumar to the “grand alliance” they are attempting to defeat the BJP in 2019. Though Nitish Kumar declared in the party’’s executive meeting in Delhi on Sunday that there is no question of walking out of the NDA, Amit Shah has to carefully judge the chief minister known as a slippery person who can change sides at the drop of the coin as he did by dropping RJD of Lalu Prasad and aligning with the BJP in the current Assembly to continue as the CM.
