Modi all set for second foundation of UP’s e-way?

-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be repeating on Saturday a drama of laying the foundation stone of already launched Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh alike the foundation of the Barmer refinery he laid in Rajasthan in January in a bid to influence a by-election there.

The Samajwadi Party government of Akhilesh Yadav had already laid the expressway’s foundation during its tenure, giving an opportunity to him to criticise the BJP government for being bereft of ideas to either inaugurate or lay foundation of the projects he had launched.

The SP workers even held a protest rally in Azamgarh where Modi is to lay the foundation stone, accusing the Yogi Adityanath government of reducing the length of the expressway that the SP government

Akhilesh claims that his government had already acquired almost 50 pc land for the proposed expressway and seeing the massive support of the people he had named it as Samajwadi Purvanchal Expressway

had approved as it will go only up to Ghazipur instead of the original plan of having it from Ballia to Lucknow.

Akhilesh claims that his government had already acquired almost 50% land for the proposed expressway and seeing the massive support of the people he had named it as Samajwadi Purvanchal Expressway. The word “Samajwadi” has been, however, dropped from the project to be launched by PM Modi on Saturday.

Something of that sort had happened in Rajasthan where State Congress President Sachin Pilot claims the Barmer refinery launched in 2013 by the UPA government was stalled by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for four years but she and the PM declared it as a milestone when launching it once again in January.
