FYJC admissions: List of vacant seats after first merit list is out

First Year Junior College that remained unfilled after the first merit list in the Mumbai Metropolit­an Region and the revised schedule for the admission process were uploaded by the office of the Deputy Director of Education on Thursday.

Admissions were allotted to students on the first merit list — 40 per cent students — 50,000 students secured admissions in colleges allocated to them. According to the vacancy list for the second round of admission, St. Xavier’s College has 48 seats for Science and eight for Arts, while VG Vaze College has 15 seats for Commerce, 14

Meanwhile, due to heavy rain in Mumbai and Nagpur, the admission schedule has been revised. The schedule mentions that on July 16 the second general merit list will be displayed and students have until July 18 to secure their seats, while the third general merit list will be displayed on July 23 and the deadline will be July 26.
