Third merit list for admissions to Mumbai University is out

MUMBAI: On Wednesday afternoon the third merit list for admissions of degree college affiliated to the University of Mumbai was displayed. The admission procedure which left students stranded as admissions were stayed in Maharashtr­a the third merit list discloses a drop of 2-3% in the cut-off as compared to the academic year 2017-2018 and the second merit list of this year. The cut off for Bachelors in Commerce (BCom) in HR college this year is 90 per-cent while it was 92 per-cent in the academic year 2017-2018. Similarly the drop in cut-off was seen in other college's too like DG Ruparel displayed a drop of 6 per-cent this year as the cut-off this year is 74.77 per-cent whereas it was 80 per-cent in the year 2017-2018. While on the other hand Bachelors of Science (BSc) in some colleges displayed a increase in the cut-off of the third merit list as compared to the previous year cut-off. In Kishinchan­d Chellaram (KC) college the cut-off in the third merit list for Bachelors of Science(BSc) last year was 50 percent while this year it has showed a increase of 5 per-cent whereas in St.Xaviers there was a decrease of 4 per-cent as compared to the academic year 2017-2018. However, in Bachelors of Arts(BA) the cut-off list in every college fluctuated while some colleges displayed an increase while others showed a drop of 1-2 per-cent. While in KC college the cut-off this year is 84 per-cent it was 80 per-cent the previous year whereas in Mithibai College last year it was 94.4 this year it is 93 per-cent.
