Teenager goes missing from Nagpada residence

A 16-year-old boy has gone missing from his residence at Nagpada since Wednesday morning. Ayman Shaikh (16) has been missing from his residence at Orchid Enclave at Bellasis Road, Nagpada since 8 am on Wednesday morning. Ayman had told his parents that he was going to college to attend lectures for diploma engineerin­g course. However, since Ayman did not return home in the afternoon, his parents franticall­y started looking for him but he was nowhere to be found. His father Mohammed Shaikh (42) approached the police to register a missing complaint on Wednesday late night. Shaikh is a student of Baba Saheb Gawde college of engineerin­g near Maratha mandir at Mumbai Central.

According to Vidyasagar Kalkundre, senior police inspector, Nagpada police, "Ayman used to attend his lectures daily at the college at 8:20am.He was pursuing a diploma in engineerin­g. However, during investigat­ions, it has been found that Ayman did not attend college on Wednesday morning. As per the CCTV footage, he has been found walking alone on the Mumbai Central railway bridge at 8:30 am. As per the CCTV footage, he was found along with a backpack. Ayman’s mobile phone has been switched off. We are trying to get details of his Call Details Records. We are not suspecting any personal problems at home or any relationsh­ip issues. We have registered a missing complaint. We will be taking the help of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Police Force (RPF) if required to trace the boy. During investigat­ions, it has been found that Ayman has not contacted any of his friends after he left from home on Wednesday morning." The police have circulated his photograph­s across all police stations.
