Indrani arranged fake Class XII certificate for me: Mikhail

During his crossexamination in the Sheena Bora murder case on Friday, Mikhail Bora, brother of Sheena, told the CBI special court how his mother, Indrani Mukerjea had arranged a forged Class 12 certificate for him. He had one request before the crossexamination: “It has been a ver y long time since I have seen Indrani, just let me see her.” Indrani smiled broadly at this and gestured in acknowledgement. Mikhail made confusing statements -when Advocate Sudeep Pasbola asked him questions in English, he claimed he did not know English but could understand the language; but clarified he did not understand English spoken rapidly.

Pasbola asked him questions regarding the interviews he had given to several media houses wherein he had interacted with them in English. The defence counsel especially referred to newsanchor Arnab Goswami. Mikhail conceded this was indeed the case. Further, when asked about his completion of Class12 from the National Institute of Open Schooling in New Delhi, Mikhail said he had not studied for his Class12 exams but it was Indrani who made arrangements for a forged certificate, using which, he completed his hotel management course. On hearing this, Indrani expressed shock. When Mikhail was asked about the wedding date of Sheena’s best friend Sanjana Phukan, he could not recollect the fact. He asked Pasbola to check his Facebook account. Mikhail’s cross-examination will continue on Monday.
