Train services on CR, Harbour Line to be affected for 5 hours

Jumbo block on WR between Santacruz and Goregaon stations

In order to carry out the maintenance work on Sunday, the Central Railway(CR) has planned five hours mega block on main and harbour line.

Sunil Udasi, Chief Public Relation Officer, CR said, “Down Slow/Semi fast line services leaving Mulund station from 10.47 am to 3.50 pm will be diverted on Down fast line between Mulund and Kalyan stations halting at Thane, Diva and Dombivli stations and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule. However, Down fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.05 am to 2.54 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.”

“Up fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.37 am to 3.06 pm will halt at Diva, Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule beyond. All Down and Up slow locals leaving / arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule,” added Udasi. Down slow locals will not be available at Kalva, Mumbra, Kopar and Thakurli stations during the block period. Passengers of these stations are allowed to travel via Kalyan, Dombivali, Diva, and Thane stations. Down mail/express trains during the block period will be running 15 minutes behind schedule. Down Harbour line services to Vashi / Belapur /Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/Vadala Road from 11.34 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Andheri/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 9.56 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

“Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services leaving Bandra/Andheri/Goregaon from 10.45 am to 4.58 pm will remain suspended,” added Udasi. However, special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

Moreover, the Western Railway has planned jumbo block on Sunday to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling & overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be taken on Up & Down fast lines between Santacruz and Goregaon from 10:35 am to 15:35 pm on September 2. During the block period, all fast line trains will run on slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations.

Due to this, some Up and Dn local trains will remain cancelled. Detailed information to this effect is available with concerned Station Masters. Passengers are requested to take note of the above arrangements.
