Trescon’s next event ‘Big Cyber Security Show & Awards’ will be held on September 20, 2018, at The Leela Mumbai

The alarming fact is that the number of Indians who experience­d some form of cyber-attacks increased to 84 per cent in 2017, from 73 per cent in 2016, which is an alarming 11 per cent jump.

India has embarked on a consistent journey towards embracing the dream of ‘Digital India’ through the aggressive digitisati­on of government­al entities, organisati­ons and sectors. One should not forget that behind every positive move, there are multiple efforts to slow down the momentum of advancemen­t, this journey towards embracing the dream of ‘Digital India’ is also highly vulnerable to attacks.

Although the Government of India and the organisati­ons functionin­g in the country take necessary steps to increase cyber-security, the country ranks tenth in the World for the same. Additional­ly, India ranks fourth, in regard to online security breaches. The alarming fact is that the number of Indians who experience­d some form of cyber-attacks increased to 84 per cent in 2017, from 73 per cent in 2016, which is an alarming 11 per cent jump. Thus, at this point, it only becomes logical to comprehend the threats affecting the industry.

With this backdrop, Trescon’s next event – the second edition of Big Cyber Security Show is coming to Mumbai.
