CR mega block, jumbo block on WR today

In order to carry out maintenance work on the suburban section, the Central Railway (CR) has planned to operate a mega block from 11 am to 3.40 pm on the Mulund-Matunga slow line. Sunil Udasi, chief public relations officer, CR, said all slow trains leaving Thane between 10.37 am and 3.31 pm will be diverted to the fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations, halting at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations and further re-diverted to the slow line at Matunga.

“Fast/semi fast trains leaving Kalyan between 11.04am and 3.06pm will halt at Diva, Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghat-kopar & Kurla stations, in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule,” said Udasi.

Fast/semi fast trains leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10.16am to 2.54pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and Diva stations, in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive at their destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

All slow trains leaving/arriving CSMT between 11am and 5pm will arrive at their destination 10 minutes behind schedule. CR has also planned a mega block on its Harbour line, from 11.10am to 3.40pm. However, special local trains will run on the CSMT-Kurla and Vashi-Panvel sections during the block. Passengers are permitted to travel via TransHarbour / Main Line from 10am to 4.30pm. Meanwhile, the WR has planned a jumbo block today, between Santacruz and Goregaon station, from 10.35am to 3.35pm, to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment. During the block period, all fast line trains will run on the slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations.
