2 scrap buses, car catch fire at Kurla depot

MUMBAI: Fire broke out in two Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation buses and a car parked in the ST bus depot in Nehru Nagar, Kurla. The buses were scrap and were parked in the ST bus depot for a long time, as the buses were seized by the Regional Transport Office. A fire fighting team was rushed to the spot to douse the flames. An officer said the fire was brought under control and no casualties were reported. Local residents blamed anti-social elements in the depot for the incient, as they lit cigarettes and the vehicles catch fire.
