Electoral alliance

The State Congress chief has reportedly ruled out an electoral alliance with the MNS and the AIMIM. One can understand the case of the former; as in that eventuality the Congress will be alienating its North Indian support base in Maharashtra. But, closing the doors on the latter will destroy the very “secular” fabric of the Congress, which the Party has been meticulously nurturing all along for the last 133 years.
