PM lays foundation stone for sub-stations in Arunachal Pradesh

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for seven EHV Sub-stations and 24 LT Sub-stations recently in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The project is being implemented by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID). On this occasion, Modi said, “It will improve state power sector, facilitate development of small scale/cottage industries/tourism in the state by enabling quality supply of power.” The existing Power Transmission and Distribution system needed a major reconstruction and integration with National Grid to meet the present and future load requirement as well as to fuel faster economic growth.
