When Taylor cried over Selena’s song...

Says Varun Dhawan, adding he will speak about the student protests over CAA once things settle down ...that she was not a part of 3D initially

- Fourth film coming up!

Student protests across the country over Citizenship Amendment Act has found a strong support system in our film industry. Several celebrities are voicing their concern over the way things are being handled. Speaking at the trailer launch of his film Street Dancer 3D, Varun Dhawan too opened up about the protests that are happening across the country.

“What is happening in the country is being reported. I don’t want to comment on that. There are some four-five versions going doing the round. We are sitting in Mumbai and something else is happening in the other part of the country. It is wrong of us to comment on something unless we are 100 percentage aware. Definitely, any use of force against peaceful protest is wrong and other law and order situations arising after that are also wrong. There are two sides to everything. Right now it is a sensitive matter. It is easy to speak and say something and slam someone. When you are a public figure, people follow you. Once the situation settles I will give my opinion. I am not pro or against anyone. I am not scared of anyone. It is just that I am trying to be responsible. I don’t want to instigate someone strongly.”

When asked if it is difficult for actors to speak out, Varun said, “It depends on the person. Personally, I am not scared of anyone. I love my country. I am feeling safe, but nobody is going to hurt me. Speaking out today has become a social media thing. If you have not tweeted means you have nothing to say. Every person in India is not on Twitter. Whatever I feel, personally, I will have that conversation with my family in my living room. Best thing to do is live your life. I don’t discriminate...I work with everyone. So I am setting an example by my behaviour.”

—Sonali Pitale Joshi ctress Deepika Padukone recently had a fan moment when Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan fed her a chocolate cake with his hands. Earlier this month, Deepika had praised Hrithik for his performance in War, comparing him to a popular dessert ‘death by chocolate’. “Hrithik in ‘War’ is like Death by Chocolate from Corner House!...Just saying,” she had tweeted.

Now a video from celebrity manager Rohini Iyer’s house party is doing the rounds on the internet in which Hrithik is seen feeding Deepika chocolate cake. Deepika even puts the cake tag on her head as Hrithik feeds her first, before taking a bite himself.

This cute gesture of the two actors has left their fans in awe of them. Commenting on the video, one user wrote: “Can’t take off my eyes from them. They are so adorable.” Another one commented: “Please come together in a movie .... you will surely make the hottest couple on screen.”

According to the reports, the two will be seen romancing in remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 film Satte

Ahraddha Kapoor was not the first choice for Street Dancer 3D, for the third film in Remo D’souza’s dance series. When the movie was announced, Katrina Kaif was to do the role. However, when Katrina backed out of the film over due date issues (the actress had signed good friend Salman Khan’s Bharat then).

Speaking about Shraddha’s reaction her co-star Varun said, “Shraddha was part of previous film and was bit emotional when she got to know that she is not there in the next one. She asked me why she wasn’t offered the film. Remo thought this role was not suitable for her. But after Katrina left, because of date issue, it was nice of her to step in and agree to do the film. I think she was destined to do it.”

Adding to Varun’s statement, director of the film Remo D’souza said, “Yes, Katrina had to leave the film because of date issues and we had to change the script a bit and luckily Shraddha could take up this film on time.

—Sonali Pitale Joshi t the trailer launch of his new film, Street Dancer 3D, Remo D’souza who had directed the previous ABCD films revealed that he os planning to make a fourth film in hit dance series. Says Remo, “I was ready with this film for a long time. And, if given a chance and if producer Bhushan

Kumar supports us we will make the fourth dance film too.” Seconding Remo,

Varun says, “At one point of time it was a difficult situation for us as Remo said the film was ready, but there was no one to back it. Thankfully,

Bhushanji agreed to back it and it was made on the grand scale. So let’s hope he continues to do so.” Says Bhushan, “I always told Remo that you should make a dance film with a music label. It could not happen but when he decided to do the third one I said you will have to make it with us. Now if it works then we might do another film again.” —Sonali Pitale Joshi
