BJP SLAMS CONG FOR DRAGGING COP’S NAME IN PULWAMA ATTACK

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Tuesday condemned Congress for trying to give a “clean chit” to Pakistan on Pulwama attack that killed 42 jawans by alleging it as a handiwork of Davinder Singh, then deputy SP of the area who has been arrested for escorting three terrorists to Delhi. Party spokesperason Sambit Patra called for a “democratic surgical strike” on the Congress for the way it has tried to politicise and revive memory of the Pulwama terror attack, taking advantage of the arrest of the J&K DSP for terror activities to mount an attack on India that amounts to protecting Pakistan responsible for that attack.

He challenged Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to state on camera who attacked the Pulwama convoy if it were not by the Pakistani terrorists and better declare they do not have trust in the Indian Army and the Modi govt. “There seems to be some connection between Congress and Pakistan as the opposition every day tries to please Pakistan. Yeh rishta kya kahlata hai? (What is this relationship?) Everyday you caress the back of Pakistan and stab India and then say you are not anti-national, leaving it for the people to judge,” he affirmed.

He went on to accuse the Congress linking terrorism with religion. “Sometimes, it says India will become ‘Hindu Pakistan’, and dubs PM Modi as ‘Hindu Jinnah’. Every time it attacks the Hindus to establish the Hindus as terrorists.” Patra pointed out how Congress MP Shashi Tharoor dubbed the Batla House encounter as a fake one and Congress president Sonia Gandhi even wept over this encounter as narrated by a Congress leader while Rahul Gandhi had said he is not afraid of SIMI or Islamic terrorism, but he is afraid of the Hindus. After 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Patra said Digvijaya Singh at the instance of Sonia had blamed RSS. It is Congress that coined phrases like “saffron terorism” and “Hindu terrorism”.
