‘Love Island’ star Caroline Flack kills herself

-

Caroline Flack’s grieving boyfriend posted an emotional tribute to the ex-Love Island presenter after her death.

Lewis Burton, 27, shared a picture of him and Flack, 40, on holiday together on Instagram, saying his ‘heart is broken’ and promising to ‘be her voice’.

The former ITV presenter killed herself at her new flat in Islington, north London, hours after finding out she would face trial over the alleged assault of Burton last year, according to Daily Mail.

The star’s management team had previously described her as ‘vulnerable’ and slammed the Crown Prosecution Service for pushing ahead with her ‘show trial’ despite Burton saying he did not want to press charges.

“My heart is broken, we had something so special. I am so lost for words I am in so much pain I miss you so much I know you felt safe with me you always said I don't think about anything else when I am with you and I was not allowed to be there this time I kept asking and asking,” Burton’s post read.

“I will be your voice baby I promise I will ask all the questions you wanted and I will get all the answers nothing will bring you back but I will try make you proud everyday. I love you with all my heart,” the post added, reports the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, On Friday, her boyfriend Lewis Burton attempted to contact her. She had been forbidden by a judge from communicating with Burton before the trial, which was due to begin on 4 March.

A statement from her family said: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today, 15 February. We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time and we would ask they make no attempt to contact us and/or photograph us, ” according to The Guardian.
