5 langurs deployed for Trump’s security to shoo away monkeys

UP CM, Guv to accompany Trumps to Taj Mahal

-

Despite heavy security arrangement for President Trump, the agencies are worried about monkeys who often create misery in Agra especially in the Taj Mahal complex.

To shoo the moneys away, the security agencies have deployed five langurs (black face long-tailed monkeys) on the route of Trump's convoy.

The US first couple is scheduled to visit Taj Mahal on Monday. Their plane will land in Agra at 4.45pm where the President will be greeted by UP Chief ZMinister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.

From the airport, Trump’s convoy will move to hotel Amar Vilas and from here Trumps will ride battery operated Golf carts to the Taj Mahal at 5.15pm.

The first family of US will stay in Taj for an hour and also sit at one of the marble benches installed in 1908 by Lord Curzon also known as Diana bench.

Entire Taj area has been closed for commoners and other tourists on Monday 12 noon onwards apart from other security measures in place.

According to sources, the internal security of Trump and his family is being handled by the American Secret Services, 10 companies of paramilitary forces, 10 companies of PAC and NSG commandos have been deployed for the external security.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has for the first-time given mud-cap treatment to the graves of Emperor Shahjahan and Empress Mumtaz Mahal.

Monkeys don’t value these human arrangements much which has raised the anxiety level of the local administration and security forces.

Hence, they have roped in another animal to tackle moneys.

Langurs and monkeys don’t see eye to eye. When the langur comes, troupes of latter vanishes. While moneys often snatch items from humans and attack them, langurs are peace loving mammals.
