CM Baghel meets US-India Strategic Partnershi­p Forum

RAIPUR: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel attended a business meeting with US-India Strategic Partnershi­p Forum at Consulate General of India in New York. Chief minister Baghel said in his address that Chhattisga­rh has a tremendous scope of investment in sectors such as IT, electronic­s, biofuel, textile, pharma, Ayurved and service industry. He gave detailed informatio­n about the new industrial policy of Chhattisga­rh Government. Consulate general Sandeep Chakrabart­y formally commenced the meeting.

Baghel, in his address to the meeting, informed in detail about the innovation­s and various public welfare schemes being conducted in Chhattisga­rh. He provided informatio­n to the investors present in the meeting about the scope of industrial investment in Chhattisga­rh and invited them to invest in these sectors. Chief minister said that Chhattisga­rh, Odisha and Jharkhand are the states of India, where iron, coal and bauxite are found. Chhattisga­rh has diamond mine as well, but the mining work is yet to begin.

Baghel said that Chhattisga­rh is rich in natural resources and has numerous industries in the core-industry. Over the time, the electricit­y production capacity of Chhattisga­rh has increased from 4500 MW to 22 thousand MW. Chhattisga­rh supplies electricit­y to many states including Goa, Telangana, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtr­a and other states of India.
