Central Railway organises virtual meeting with freight customers

A virtual meeting with major freight customers on Central Railway was held on Webex platform on June 26, 2020. The meeting was addressed by B.K. Dadabhoy, Principal Chief Commercial Manager and D.K. Singh, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Central Railway. P.K. Ranade, Chief Commercial Manager (Freight Marketing) and K.N. Singh, Chief Freight Traffic Manager conducted the meeting. It was attended by Prabhat Ranjan, Chief Commercial Manager (Claims and Catering), D. Sengupta, Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer (Traffic), and Senior officials from headquarters and all five divisions.

Major Commodity Loaders present included Western Coal Fields Ltd. (coal), Jindal Steel Ltd (metcoke, Iron steel), Container Corporation of India, other Container Train Operators, Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilizers, Deepak Fertilizers (fertilizers), BPCL, IOCL (Oil companies), - ACC, Ultra Tech, Ambuja Cement, Orient Cement, Chettinad Cement (Cement Companies) - Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors (Automobile Companies).

Suggestions were sought from the parties. Different issues were discussed to increase the Freight Traffic, Loading projections for the financial year 2020-21 and next four years. The freight customers thanked for the cooperation and help extended by Central Railway during pandemic period and said that will try to raise railway coefficient in their dispatch of goods.
