Fed up with ‘fascist’ media, Rahul to begin own video service from today

- OUR BUREAU / New Delhi

Fed up with most of the Indian news media captured by the "fascist" interests, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday decided to launch his own videos from Tuesday to share his thoughts with the people.

In a tweet, he justified his decision, saying "a hate filled narrative is being spread by television channels, WhatsApp forwards and false news and this narrative of lies is tearing India apart."

"I want to make our current affairs, history and crisis clear and accessible for those interested in the truth," he added. Congress sources were enthusiastic Rahul's initiative may lead to the Congress starting own TV channel af ter finding most of the news channels ignoring the Congress viewpoint or distorting it with negative stress. Senior Congress leader and top lawyer Kapil Sibal had promoted his own TV channel last year but it folded up af ter his realisation it was not a money churning project as he fired most staff without notice.
