The best tribute you can pay to a teacher is reaching heights

-

Teachers are important role models for students. Be it a school, college, university or any other educational institution, they work hard for shaping the lives of their students. But we all must not forget our first teachers, our parents. So, to mention one person whom I consider my ultimate guru is my mother. Besides taking care of us five siblings, she always gave us important life tips which I still follow...being straightforward and always dedicatedly chasing my dreams. She gave a lot of examples from Mahabharata, which are relevant even today. She shared life examples which have been helpful in shaping my life. Her advices guided me in all situations, constantly preparing me to be stronger to step out in the real world when I grew up.

If there is any debt that cannot be repaid is the debt we owe to our teachers. So the only way of trying to repay a bit of their debt is reaching great heights and following their principles. The only people who will never envy our success are our teachers and parents. I try to repay my debt by honouring mother of every student and staff in our college annual celebration 'Mathru Devo Bhava'. In this ' Mathru Devo Bhava' chief guest is not the successful person, but his mother who has helped, guided and moulded him to reach his/her great position.

A lecturer in a South African University wrote an expressive message to his students at the doctorate, masters and bachelors level and placed it at the entrance of the college. Armiet College under the guidance of its Chairman Mr Alamuri Venkateshwsra Gupta also put a similar board at the entrance of college gate.

“I believe that it resonates with us everywhere. More of ten than not we are not mindful of how the things we consider to be little could destroy our society.

He wrote, “Collapsing any Nation does not require use of Atomic bombs or the use of Long range missiles. But it requires lowering the quality of Education and allowing cheating in the exams by the students.

The patient dies in the hands of the doctor who passed his exams through cheating.

And the buildings collapse in the hands of an engineer who passed his exams through cheating.

And the money is lost in the hands of an accountant who passed his exams through cheating.

And humanity dies in the hands of a religious scholar who passed his exams through cheating.

And justice is lost in the hands of a judge who passed his exams through cheating.

And ignorance is rampant in the minds of children who are under the care of a teacher who passed exams through cheating.

The collapse of education is the collapse of the Nation.”
