CM Baghel: Tea gardens, bamboo industry will benefit from Assam’s expertise

Minister Bhupesh Baghel met a delegation of Assam’s industrial­ists in Jorhat on Monday during his 2-day’s official visit to Assam. He asked them to establish industries based on tea and bamboo for which all assistance and encouragem­ent will be extended, a press release said.

Baghel said Chhattisga­rh has an industr y friendlyen­vironment. The state has minor forest produce and horticultu­re crops apart from tea and bamboo. All assistance and benefits will be extended to establish industries, he said.

Bamboo is available abundantly in the forests. Tomatoes are even exported to Pakistan. Jashpur climate is tea friendly and it has a tea garden, he pointed out.

Security men raze 2 camps in Bastar, recover 1,214 spikes in Sukma

Security forces busted 2 Maoist camps in South Bastar and recovered daily use materials, IEDs and other items. In a separate anti-Naxal operation, a huge cache of spikes from Sukma was recovered, a senior police officer said on Monday. The MoU was signed in presence of state Panchayat Minister TS Singh Deo, Director Panchayat Mohammad Kaisar Abdul Haq and East Zone Chief of ICICI Bank Praveen Trivedi.
