Jaish-ul-Hind denies hand in

Antilia episode

- PRIYANKA NAVALKAR

Late on Sunday Night, the Mumbai Police released a message, purportedly from the Jaish-ul-Hind, which states that they have not issued any threats to business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and will never target the industrialist for ransom. The message further clarified that the outfit's fight is against the fascism of the BJP and the RSS and their misdeeds against the Muslims of Hind. They also clarified that the Telegram account from where the statement emanated taking credit for the Antilia episode had no connection to their organization.

Days af ter a gelatin-laden vehicle was found outside Ambani's house, an unknown group, Jaish-ul-Hind, had claimed responsibility for parking the vehicle and leaving behind a threatening letter addressed to the industrialist. The claim was made on social media messaging app Telegram earlier in the day. The message stated that the man who had parked the SUV has reached a safe house and that this was 'just a trailer and big picture is yet to come'. It also threatened Mukesh and Nita Ambani, saying that the next time the SUV will ram into their kids if the businessman does not give into their demands. The message said, "You (Ambanis) know what you have to do, just transfer the money regarding which we have told you earlier". The author of the message also challenged the investigative agencies, saying the NIA joined hands with Israeli intelligence agency Mossad but failed to investigate the blast that took place near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi last month.
