Didi hasn’t mentioned criminal cases in nomination papers: BJP

Even as election for the prestigious Bhawanipore constituency is drawing nearer, BJP alleged CM Mamata Banerjee didn’t mention about criminal cases in her nomination papers for Bhawanipore bypoll. BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal’s election agent Sajal Ghosh on Tuesday filed a complaint with Election Commission in this regard.

Tibrewal while campaigning said that the TMC is purposely making an issue of her hard-earned property. “The TMC is raising a finger at me stating that I have a property worth Rs 3 crore but they don’t know I am an educated person and since the age of 18, I am working and whatever I own I have earned. On the other hand, the reality of TMC and how they mint money is known to everyone,” said Priyanka.

Mamata’s Hindi Divas tweet irks supporters

Fearing that it might send a wrong message to non-hindi speaking voters in Bhawanipore, several TMC supporters showed their displeasure after CM Mamata Banerjee tweeted on Hindi Diwas. On Tuesday in a Tweet in Hindi, the Chief Minister wished Indians and those working towards the enrichment of the (Hindi) language.

Bomb hurled at BJP MP Arjun Singh’s house again

A day after NIA took over the bomb hurl case at BJP MP Arjun Singh’s house on September 8, another explosion was heard on Tuesday at the backyard of the MP’s house. Bomb squad of the Bengal CID team along with Bhatpara police reached the spot. Even as Singh blamed TMC, the party reportedly on the contrary claimed Arjun is known for such activities.
