WHO IS THIS PK? Kaun hai yeh? Is he the master poll strategist or someone else? Even as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had criticised the BJP during the run up to the Assembly polls saying that their leaders were “outsiders” and they were unaware of the sentiments and culture of the state… Sajal Ghosh, election agent of BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal on Saturday took to social media and published a voter list of TMC at Bhawanipore which featured the name of master poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s name and his photo.

The list also says people featured in the list were enlisted as voters between November 18 last year and January 15, 2021.

Talking to Free Press Journal, Sajal Ghosh slammed Trinamool Congress and sarcastically claimed that may be Prashant Kishor has changed his base and has become a resident of Bhawanipore.

“No more an outsider, now the son of the house will cast his vote at St Helen school on September 30,” slammed Sajal sarcastically over TMC’s claim that Mamata Banerjee is ‘ghorer meye’ (daughter of the house). "He made the shift," as per sources, "in view of apprehensions that the BJP might attempt to coerce the Election Commission to get him out of Kolkata amid the Assembly poll.”

Kishor has provided his "care of" address as that of Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamool leader and the Chief Minister's nephew, with whom he used to stay during Covid lockdown.

Backed by Kishor and his Indian Political

Action Committee (I-PAC), Banerjee won 213 of the 292 seats despite the BJP mounting a no-holds barred, and often vitriolic campaign, to win power in a state it has never ruled. It was reported in June the Trinamool had extended its contract with I-PAC to 2026. After TMC’s win in Bengal, which had left BJP upset, Prashant Kishor had announced his retirement from election management. “I have been thinking of quitting for too long and was looking for an opportunity. Bengal gave me that chance,” he said.

In Dec 2020, in the face of TMC leaders being inducted into BJP, Kishor ironically had tweeted he would quit the political space if BJP were to cross a hundred seats in Bengal, and he was confident they would be reduced to a figure under that.
