Merge with BJP, become a party: Gehlot taunts RSS
Attacking the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday advised the saffron outfit to merge with Bharatiya Janata Party and become a political party. “The RSS works to make the BJP win by staying behind. Now, they should come forward, merge with the BJP and become a political party,” Gehlot told media in Udaipur.
Reacting to the statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat about Akhand Bharat, Gehlot said these people talk about Hindus but today Hindus are also in trouble. Cases of untouchability are being reported even today in the country. “Akhand Bharat will be made possible only when people of all castes and religions are strong. RSS workers should begin a door-todoor campaign and spread a message of harmony and launch a campaign against untouchability and discrimination,” said Gehlot.
The Rajasthan CM also appealed to PM Modi to address the nation, and said this kind of environment is not good for the country. In such a situation, Modiji should address the nation and speak against those working to spread anarchy. “The conflict in the name of food, attire or religious traditions is not good for the country and development,” he said.
Gehlot’s comment follows RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s claim that India will become ‘Akhand Bharat’ in 10-15 years. Bhagwat was speaking in Haridwar during the inauguration of the statue of 1008 Swami Divyanand Giri at Shri Krishna Niwas and Poornanand Giri Ashram in Kankhal.
As per the predictions of saints and astrologers, India will become ‘Akhand Bharat’ in 20-25 years but if we all collectively work towards it, the target will be achieved in 1015 years, he claimed.
