West Bengal law & order better than other states, says Mamata: Celebrating one year of the third tenure of the TMC government, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee without naming union home minister Amit Shah said she felt sad when someone said that people get killed in West Bengal.

“Bengal is in a better position than in any other states. The former Left Front government played with the lives of people. I challenge people to face me against the developmental work done by the Trinamool Congress government in the last 11 years,” said Mamata.

On April 6, home union minister Shah in his speech at Parliament claimed that people are getting “killed” in Bengal.

Everyone should get govt benefits: CM

TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee held the first state committee meeting and said that every leader should inform people about the works done by the party for the people. Mamata also instructed the leaders to ensure that every citizen of Bengal gets the benefits given by her government. “More grassroots connections should be made. I thank people and would also apologise if we have committed any mistake. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in his book has written about ‘Right to Blunder’. We should get the scope to work,” said Mamata.

Claiming West Bengal is developing, Mamata said more works would be done in Panchayat and municipalities.
