PCMC Administrator gives ‘Mantra’ to become entrepreneurs
A new waiting room for sleeper class passengers at Pune Railway Station was inaugurated by Central Railway on Thursday. This waiting room will be on platform number one of Pune Railway Station.
It was inaugurated by Chief Reservation Supervisor Pune Anil Padle in presence of in the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh and Station Director Dr Ramdas Bhise. The project was expedited with the efforts of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Rani Dubey.
A sleeper class waiting room facility will be available free of cost to the passengers. Apart from this, the ramp of the old foot over bridge number 3 was also inaugurated. This bridge can be used for the differently-abled to move from one platform to another through wheelchairs and battery-operated cars. The facility was inaugurated by Venkat More, Chief TNC-Pune. Passengers are requested to kindly approach the Deputy Station Manager (Commercial) office located on Platform No. 1 of Pune station to avail this facility. A large number of passengers, railway officials and employees were present during the programme.
Pimpri Chinchwad Smart City in association with Sri Balaji University, Pune organized "LAKSHYAVEDHCRACKING THE CODE" guidance session for the students to shape their careers as Startup Entrepreneurs on Thursday.
The session was organised in online and offline modes. At that time Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Administrator Shekhar Singh guided the students on various points about entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the session, Singh said that students should have an entrepreneurial mindset. Highlighting the importance of the start-up ecosystem in strengthening the economy, Singh listed the qualities required to become an entrepreneur.
He also informed students about the various initiatives of PCMC for encouraging start-ups and also stated that the ecosystem plays a very important role in generating employment. because of no Covid-19 restrictions, traffic experts and people opined that it was because of the falling transport system and poor management of traffic in the city.
On Gudi Padwa, Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) saw sell of 18000 vehicles of which 15360 were domestic that included cars and two-wheelers. RTO officer Ajit Shinde said, “this year there were 10,300 twowheelers and 4,500 cars which were registered and sold between March 7 to 21.
Last year on the same day college-going daughter said, “my daughter Ankita used to travel in the bus, but it was time-consuming and she was completely drained out reaching home after college. So, I decided to buy her an electric bike”.
City traffic experts said that every year there has been an increase in vehicles. The city is witnessing huge infrastructural development in terms of bridges, metro, and BRTS yet, people prefer to have their own vehicle for commuting in the city.
