-

In a bid to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students and provide a platform for innovative ideas to flourish, the School of Management Commerce and Liberal Arts, which is affiliated with the Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, recently organised ‘Business Idea 2024’. This event served as a melting pot for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.

Business Idea 2024 aimed to cultivate and introduce fresh perspectives, technologies, and methodologies that set businesses apart from competitors and bolster their competitiveness in the market. The event encouraged students to design business models conducive to growth and expansion, whether in terms of geographical reach, product diversity, or customer engagement.

Four teams comprising students from various colleges and institutes participated in the competition, each presenting unique business propositions. Jiten Thakkar, Incubation Manager at the institute, attended the event as the guest of honour, witnessing the presentations of students and offering valuable insights. The coordination of the event was overseen by Prof Archana Vijayvargiya, assistant professor at the institute.

Following the business idea pitching sessions, a rigorous Q&A round with the judges followed. Darpan Sirwani and his team from School of Management, Commerce and Liberal Arts (SMCLA) emerged as the winner. Twinkle Rajput & team from School of Management, Commerce and Liberal Arts (SMCLA) and Harshad Pawar & Team from School of Management, Commerce and Liberal Arts (SMCLA) secured the runner-up positions, demonstrating commendable innovation and strategic thinking.
