How has the demand for compaction equipment evolved in the Indian market over the past few years?

According to recent reports, the compaction equipment market is around 4,000 machines annually and the market is anticipated to flourish at a healthy CAGR of 6.4 per cent between 2023 and 2033. indicating a significant increase in demand. This growth can be attributed to various factors, such as the increasing need for road and highway construction, infrastructure development, and maintenance projects in the country. The Indian government has launched initiatives such as the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), the Bharatmala Pariyojana and the Smart Cities Mission to improve the country’s infrastructure, which has further boosted the demand for compaction equipment. Additionally, the construction industry is experiencing a shift towards mechanization and automation, which has increased the demand for advanced compaction equipment. The availability of rental services for compaction equipment has also contributed to the growth of the market.
