Lokayukta raids across State
The Karnataka Lokayukta police on Wednesday conducted search operations across the State in connection with 13 disproportionate asset cases registered against 13 government officers in the Lokayukta police stations of Bengaluru city, Udupi, Karwar, Mandya, Mysuru, Kodagu, Dharwad, Bidar, Kolar, Vijayapura, Chickballapur, and Belagavi.
They unearthed disproportionate assets worth ₹35.8 crore.
Over 20 teams of officials carried out simultaneous searches at the offices and residences of the relatives of the officers.
The officials said that the value of the seized properties could go up.

Jayanna, Executive Officer, Somwarpet Taluk Panchayat, Kodagu; Yathish, Panchayat Development Officer, Manchanayakanahalli Gram Panchayat, Bidadi hobli, Ramanagara taluk, Ramanagara district; Sadashivaiah, Executive Engineer, KRIDL, Chickballapur district; Prakash, Junior Engineer, Karwar; Roopa M., DC, Excise, Udupi district; Sadashiva Jayappa Karagar, Grade1 Secretary, in charge PDO, Nidagundi Gram Panchayat, Raibag taluk, Belagavi district; Mahesh Chandraiah Hiremath, Range Forest Officer, Seeds Development Unit, Dharwad district; Shanmukappa Bishma Teertha, ARTO, Jamkhandi, Bagalkot district; Shivakumaraswamy, Executive Engineer, Karanja Project, Bhalki, Bidar district; Nagarajappa, Assistant Director, Town Planning, Magadi Yojana Pradikara, Magadi taluk, Ramanagara.
