Learn, sketch and discover your art

-

This International Museum Day on May 18, explore the ‘Outside In: Meera Mukherjee and Jaidev Baghel’ exhibition at Museum of Art and Photography with a guided live sketching session.

Led by artist and entrepreneur Smitha Shivaswamy, co-founder of Penciljam, the event oŸers two one-hour sessions — one at11 am and another at 4pm. Whether you are a seasoned sketcher or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to hone your skills, unleash your creativity, and connect with a community of likeminded artists.

The event aligns with the theme of International Museum Day — Museums for Education and Research — by fostering engagement with various audiences. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pencils and sketchbook for a more personalised experience.

Penciljam co-founder Smitha brings nearly two decades of experience in design to the table. She is passionate about promoting ‘Citizen Art’ and currently develops visual thinking training for corporations.

This is a chance to learn from an expert, capture the essence of the exhibit through your artistic lens, and create memories at the museum.

It is also an opportunity to see art in a new light, develop a deeper appreciation for Mukherjee and Baghel’s work, and discover the joy of artistic expression. So, grab your pencils and get ready to sketch your way into the heart of ‘Outside In.’

Entry is free but registration is required. For more information, visit map-india.org.
