What’s so special about the medium?

Since the 3D illusion of anamorphosis only works from one very specific viewpoint, it is the literal embodiment of something that is true of all art; your own point of view is unique and crucial.

Working with the medium?

Personally, I try to let each drawing be what it wants to be. In my experience, an awkward drawing of a dog is often trying to tell yourself/ viewers that it’s a cat.

The challenges?

The weather - contrary to what people think, the biggest problem is the sun. Nothing ruins a good outdoor drawing like a shadow in the wrong place.

Your future plans?

The world is a big place, and there are far too many parts of it I haven’t drawn on yet.
